Elevated temperatures have a debilitating effect on the inhabitants of the space - whether it is a dwelling or an office space.
There are two ways to combat an elevated temperature. Whilst each method of cooling the air works well, combining the two is the most effective method of all.
1. Increase circulation/ventilation - By adding airflow, circulation and ventilation, the hot air is removed from the area, and the circulating air leads to a reduction in stress on the human skin. This can be achieved in many ways. Passive vents which exhaust hot air as it rises can be added and mechanical vents which suck the air out of the building turning on when the temperature rises are the two most common ways to reduce temperature. Ceiling fans are another very good way of combatting an elevated temperature.
2. Cool the air - The more expensive method is to simply cool the hot air thus reducing the temperature. This can be done through air conditioning, either by way of refrigerated airconditioning or the more cost effective evaporative air conditioning.
We always recommend a combination of the two methods of cooling temperatures as being the most effective of all.
