Mould

It is important to note that all dwellings have some form of mould unless it is a sterile environment. Mould spores can be found in dust. However it will not grow unless exposed to moisture so it is important to keep the dwelling free of excess moisture and to properly vent moist areas. If moisture does penetrate the dwelling it is vital that it is removed as quickly as possible.

Mould reproduces itself through tiny invisible spores, which resides and travel through dust.

Mould is potentially harmful to humans, affecting the respiratory functions and manifests itself in hay fever type symptoms and those with allergies can suffer an allergic reaction to mould.

Prolonged exposure to mould can cause severe illness and even death in very extreme cases.

Mould prevention and treatment

Mould needs to be both treated and prevented. There is little point in removing the mould if the reason for the mould growth - moisture, humidity, lack of ventilation - is not repaired or reversed. Our mould treatments are cutting edge and involve the application of heat, cleaning agents and for inaccessable areas, the fogging of chemicals which will destroy mould spores. Our prevention and treatment solutions are both fast working and permanent and come with our workmanship guarantee. Please ask for more details.
